Information Security Coordinator

We are now looking for an Information Security Coordinator who will also act as Deputy Security Protection Manager.

The position is newly established and gives you a central role in developing and coordinating the municipality's work in information security, security protection, and digital safety.

About the position

In the role of Information Security Coordinator and Deputy Security Protection Manager, you will have a coordinating and supportive function within the municipality's overall security work. You will work closely with the Security Protection Manager, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, IT, management, operations, and other key functions.

You are responsible for developing, coordinating, and following up on the municipality's work in information security and security protection in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations, such as the Security Protection Act, the Cybersecurity Act, and relevant regulations and recommendations.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will among other things:

• Coordinate and develop the municipality's management system for information security and security protection
• Assist the Security Protection Manager in planning, implementing, and following up on security protection work
• Support operations in risk and vulnerability analyses, including security protection analysis
• Develop, manage, and follow up on governing documents, procedures, and guidelines within information and security protection
• Provide advice and training to managers and employees on information security, security protection, and data protection
• Manage and follow up on incidents and propose improvement measures
• Collaborate with IT, data protection officers, security functions, operations, and external actors
• Monitor legislation, threat landscape, and global developments in information security and security protection

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant higher education, for example in information security, security, law, IT, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Experience working with information security, IT security, security protection, or related security areas
• Good knowledge of applicable regulations such as GDPR, the Cybersecurity Act, and security protection legislation
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience working in the public sector or essential societal functions
• Knowledge of the Cybersecurity Act, ISO/IEC 27000 series, and the Civil Defense Agency's frameworks and guidelines
• Experience working with security protection analysis or continuity and crisis preparedness
• Experience in training, change, or development work
• Certifications in information security or security

Personal Qualities

To succeed in this role, you are structured, analytical, and have high integrity. You are pedagogical and have the ability to explain complex security issues in a clear and trustworthy manner. You work independently, take responsibility, and enjoy driving issues forward in collaboration with others.

The position is classified in a security class.
